RACECEIVER NAMED OFFICIAL DRIVER COMMUNICATION OF THE USMTS
GAINESVILLE, Ga. (Jan. 22) – Officials from the United States Modified Touring Series announced today that RACEceiver—the world’s leader in one-way communications for auto racing—has been named the Official Driver Communication of the USMTS.
Founded in 2001 by Joe Vinson, RACEceiver has become the standard for one-way communications in all types of auto racing. Today, Vinson’s game-changing addition to the motorsports world continues to fuel the rapid growth of the company through new, innovative ideas for the racing industry.
The RACEceiver allows USMTS officials to communicate individually with drivers on the track, increasing safety and operating efficiency. USMTS officials introduced the use of RACEceivers at all events last year, and will continue to utilize RACEceivers during the 2010 campaign.
The RACEceiver is a compact radio receiver that conveniently fits into the driver's pocket. Utilizing the RACEceiver saves time during race events and facilitates getting cars lined up prior to the race, making the experience more enjoyable for fans.
Furthermore, the RACEceiver gives officials the ability to notify drivers if something is wrong with their car and quickly direct them to the pits, thus enhancing the level of safety for all drivers on the track.
Drivers competing at USMTS events may rent RACEceivers on a per-night basis or purchase their own from the USMTS, and may use them at a myriad of other tracks, series and sanctioning bodies that use the RACEceiver to enhance their programs.

For the seventh straight year, the USMTS Casey’s General Stores National Tour campaign will kick off with a doubleheader at the Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Neb., for the 7th Annual Nebraska Spring Thaw on Friday and Saturday, March 5-6. The USMTS Southern Series season will start with some unfinished business from the 2009 season with the 3rd Annual Texas Winter Nationals at the Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 18-20.
